Installing Master Data Services in SQL SERVER 2012...

Step 1: Click on the Master Data Services folder present in All Program -- > Microsoft SQL Server 2012

 



Step 2: Click on the Master Data Services Configuration Manager as shown above. it will display the Configuration Manager to Configure the Database and other settings

Step 3: Select Database Configuration and Click on the Create Database button, if the MDS is created for the first time. MDS also requires Internet Information Services to host its Services.

 Step 4: On Selecting Create Database, popup opens up to run a wizards. So click Next

Step 5: Enter the SQL Server Instance Name, Type of Authentication, User Name and Password and Test the connection once. Then apply Next.

Step 6: Enter the SQL Server Database Name as DanielMDS or as per your Project Name

Step 7: Enter the common User Name through which every one can access the MDX site as well as the Content.

Step 8: Database is created successfully as shown below

Step 9: Click on Finish to go back to Database Screen Configuration. The System Setting will be filled automatically as shown below. When every things are done, Click on apply button at the bottom.

Step 10: Click on Web Configuration and select the Website Dropdown -- > Create New Website

Step 11: Click on the Select button and Add the respective instance, Select the Authentication Type and Click on the Connect button
